Learning Objective: At the end of this week, you will be able to describe the key tenets of missionary discipleship including: Welcome, Encounter, Accompany/Community and Sending Forth.

Reflect on the following questions:

  1. Do I have a relationship with Jesus Christ?
  2. In what ways do I cultivate my relationship with Jesus and His Church?

  1. What opportunities does the parish provide to cultivate ongoing encounters with Jesus?
  2. What new opportunities do you see for your parish?

For Me:
Talk with God (Pray)
Continue to assess how you are living as a Missionary Disciple. Are you tossing seeds? Cultivating them?
Identify the ways you are accompanied on your journey of faith. Who accompanies you and your family?

For Others:
Know your church. Ask yourself:
Are we a welcoming community?
What opportunities does the parish provide to cultivate ongoing encounters with Jesus?
In what ways does the parish accompany families, young adults, married couples, new and returning Catholics? Anything missing?
What opportunities for accompaniment exist in support of the faith of parishioners? What areas can be improved?
Compile a complete list of parish ministries, share and keep
